Prosecco Dei Coli Trevigiani Igt Frizzante (Crown Capsule)Aromatic fresh fruit with a very gentle fizz make this delicate wine a perfect aperitif. Now bottled with a Crown capsule as opposed to a cork, which better preserves the fruit and ensures greater consistency. |

Vermentino di Bolgheri 2004This is 100% Vermentino from vineyards located in Tenuta Belvedere near Bolgheri on the Tuscan coast, South of Livorno. The grapes are harvested early in the morning in order to give good structure and aromas and a small part of the wine was left on the skins for six hours just prior to the alcoholic fermentation to add complexity to the aromatics and structure of the wine. The first vintage of Vermentino from Antinori's Tenuta Gudo al Tasso was in 1996 and quantities produces are still very small and mainly for the Italian market. This wine goes well with...Shellfish |

Soave Classico Le Coste, Fabiano, 2006Soave is one of the most famous Italian wines appreciated all over the world. It is a young and delicate wine, with a pleasantly dry taste, obtained from the grapes cultivated in the eastern area of Verona dominated by the medieval castle of Soave town, from which it takes the name. |

Lugana, ''Argillaia'', Fabiano, 2007Produced from Trebbiano grapes, this remarkably good wine deserves better attention. Coming from a prevalently level soil of clayey and calcareus nature, it is a wine with light green colour tending to gold reflections with the refining in bottle. It is a very well structed wine with a fruity and delicate bouquet, soft and harmonious taste with a hint of oak. |
|
Lugana, ''argillaia'' Fondatori, Fabiano, 2003The Fondatori represents the top cuvee of Lugana at Fabiano. Half the cuvee is barrel femenated and aged in oak before being blended with the rest of the cuvee that was matured in tank. The result is an extemely complex and rich white wine. Similar in depth to a white burgundy, but with more of the herbaceuos notes associated with a great dry white Bordeaux. |

Vitiano 2005, Falesco, UmbriaRicardo Cotarella is probably one of the most sough-after wine consultants in the whole of Central and South Italy. Along with brother Renzo of Antinori fame, he has built Falesco into one of the new powerhouses of Italy. On a personal level, I consider their Vitiano to be one of the best valued wines around. |
